Austin Turns 2!!!!

Austin's second birthday was the 10th of August. My how the time flys. We celebrated his birthday with a small party on Sunday August 16th. He got some pretty awesome gifts including his first bike from mommy and daddy. He was so excited! He cant pedal yet but he loves to climb up on it and just sit there. Its too funny. He will be tall enough for it in a couple months then he can start learning how to ride. =)

Here are a few pics from the party.

I made him a Checkerboard Cake....Not Easy to make, But I did it!

I was in Salt Lake City, UT for three days for our annual Scentsy Convention and let me tell you what....I am so Excited for all our new products! This years convention was even more eye opening than the last!!! I learned so much to help me grow my business and I saw the big picture, finally!

Scentsy is a family founded company and is all about Giving back to the community. They donated $100,000 to help support local family owned small businesses in recent months. Some of the businesses would have closed their doors this summer due to the hard economic times if it had not been for scentsy. They are offering YOU to get involved and take a pledge to help your local community and I encourage all of you to do it. I DID!! Click on the link to the right under "Contribute 2009" and read all about it and then pledge yourself to help make a difference.

I now have my goal set and I will be making six figures within the next four years!! Our consultants that started with the company just 5 years ago are now making 1 million A YEAR!!! There is so much growth potential with Scentsy I can hardly believe it!

But dont worry, I am not putting all my beans in one basket. Nick and I are both still going to school and maintaining 4.0 GPA's at the moment. My next round of classes starts next week. Should be fun, I am tackaling Anthropology and Sociology. Nick is taking a computer class and a Criminal Justice class right now.

Austin is really starting to potty train now. He gave me the best gift for his birthday. lol He went pee in the toilet the day before he turned two. =) He has gone a couple times since then, but we are working with him.

I'm sure its not a surprise to most of you beings that Austin is 2 now, but we are preparing for Baby Number 2 now, So if you get a call and I am Super excited, expect the news!!!

Quick, Short Update

Hi Everyone! So, not much has been going on here latley. Just wanted to give you all a quick overview of what we have been up to.

Nick and I have both enrolled in School and we both have A's. =) I am attending Boise State University and Nick is going through an online school, Columbia State University.

He climbed in the pet carrier on his own.

Austin is doing Great! He has gotten so good at his temper tantrums. He is in his twin bed now and does really good with it. The second or third night of him being in his bed, he played a little too hard before bed and we found him like this before we went to bed. lol

He LOVES to play with nicks riding helmet. He picked it up one day, put it on his head and went and got on his quad!

He has also learned to take off his pants AND his diaper when he is wet. So potty training is not far off, although when I try to get him to sit on his little potty he screams bloody murder, so we will see when we actually start. lol

We went camping for the 4th of July with our Friends Melessa and Len and their two kids. It was fun but SUPER hot. Idaho doesn't allow you to do fireworks unless you own the property so sadly, we didnt get fireworks for the fourth. =(

Here are some pics of the weekend.

We are so happy we were able to make it home for TJ's first birthday. It was so special to be able to be there and see everyone. I didn't get as many pics taken as I would have liked but thats ok. Here are some from the trip, and those of you that I didnt get pics of....beware, I will get you next time. lol =)
I am back to work now and Austin is back in daycare part time and he is loving every minute of it. He still crys when I pick him up because he just does not want to leave.

Nick is going to take a break from his lining business so he can focus on school. He starts in a couple weeks so he is way excited about that. I, on the other hand, am still trying to figure my schooling out.

Other than that, not much is new so I will get to the pics since I know that is all you want to see!

Since my Surgery

Austin With his first Push-Pop! He Loved it but made a HUGE mess!!!

PLAYTIME!!!

Hello again. I thought it was time for another update. It has been a little over a month since I had my surgery. The doctor says that everything is healing well and there were no complications during the surgery, but I can honestly say I never want to go through that pain again. I am almost back to my normal activities with the exception of a few tasks I cant quite do yet.

We had lots of visitors during my recovery. Katie was here for a week, then Grandma Veenker for two weeks and then my mom and Nanny for a week. While everyone was so very helpful and I am glad they all came to visit, I am happy to have my house back to normal.

Austin got a new dog. Her name is Coco. We got her from the shelter on base so we don't know much about her. We think she is a weiner dog/chiwawa mix. But she was house traied and is so gentle with Austin.

Austin got his first Easter basket this year and he loved it! We hid plastic eggs with candy inside of them out in the yard. We showed him where the first one was and how to put it in his basket and he learned very quickly to run and find an egg, open it up and eat a piece of the candy and then put it in his basket. We were all surprised how quickly he caught on. Then we had a nice dinner with Grandma Veenker and our Friends Mike, Kina and their two kids.

Nick's Truck Lining Business is Going Great. Here is a Before and After pic of one of his jobs.
